About Justin Fabric
A Story Stitched with Love
Some businesses are built from spreadsheets and strategy. Justin Fabric was built from quilts.
Long before there was a shop, there were quilts — handmade ones passed down to me from people I loved. Each one carried a kind of quiet magic. You could run your fingers across the fabric and feel the person who made it. That's something I've never taken for granted.
My own quilting journey started in 2003 when I decided to make my younger sister a quilt for Christmas. One quilt became six. Six became one for every sibling, their partners, their kids. Over a hundred quilts later — all gifted, none sold — I finally understood that this wasn't just a hobby. It was how I show love.
Music, Quilting, and Finding My Rhythm
I've been teaching piano since I was thirteen. At first glance, music and quilting seem like different worlds. But they're not — both are about taking individual pieces and coaxing them into something that moves people. That connection is woven into everything we do here, and it's where our slogan comes from: "The perfect harmony of quality and creativity."
Why Justin Fabric Exists
When the pandemic hit and the world went quiet, my sewing machine got louder. I made blessing dresses for my nieces. I finished a Riley Blake Designs table runner I'd been putting off. And somewhere in all of that stitching, the question got too loud to ignore: why aren't you doing this for real?
My family encouraged me. I listened. Justin Fabric was born.
What This Shop Means to Me
I'll be honest with you — I work full-time nights at a local Veteran's Hospital, and I run this shop with every spare hour I have. It's not always easy, but it's always worth it.
Because at the end of the day, what I care most about is you — helping you find the right fabric, finish the project you've been dreaming about, and feel proud of what you create.
That's not a mission statement. That's just who I am.
At Justin Fabric, I'm here to:
- Help you find exactly what you need — even if you're not sure what that is yet
- Walk with you through new skills and techniques without judgment
- Cheer you on when you finish something beautiful
Where We're Going
The dream is a brick-and-mortar shop in the Treasure Valley — a real place where the hum of machines fills the room, classes are happening in the corner, and people leave more inspired than when they walked in. We're not there yet, but every order you place gets us a little closer.
Thank you for being part of this. Truly. Your support is what keeps this going, and I don't say that lightly.
With gratitude and a full bobbin,
Justin
